SciDev.Net is inviting 20 African Journalists to attend their Science Journalism Training Workshop and the Next Einstein Forum (NEF) Global Gathering from 9 to 13 March 2020 in Nairobi, Kenya. The bursary will cover travel, accommodation and meals during the NEF Gathering. The deadline for responses to this call is Monday, 10 February 2020.
The call is open to African Journalist with an interest in Science Journalism and working in Africa. Applicants should meet the following criteria:
a) Be a Print, Radio, TV journalists from any African country
b) Be fluent in English as this will be the language of instruction for the workshop
c) Have an interest in Science Journalism
d) Submit a CV and an essay (250-300 words) outlining their motivation and how they will benefit from the SciDev.Net training workshop and attending NEF by 10 February 2020
Applicants can only send one application. Applicants submitting more than one application will be automatically disqualified.
Measurable deliverables for this project will include but are not limited to: attend all Scidev.Net/Script sessions during the NEF Global Gathering and engage with SciDev.Net and Script during sessions including on social media.
