BA in Political Science; MA in Public Management; Certified Project Management Professional
I joined CABI in 2021 as the Head of Strategic Partnerships for the Americas with responsibility for coordinating CABI’s relationship and development activities in the region.
Prior to CABI, I was a Senior Program Manager at USDA’s Trade & Regulatory Capacity Building Division spending 12 years managing multimillion-dollar agricultural development programmes in low and middle-income countries across the world. I worked with a variety of public and private funders and led diverse coalitions of regulatory and technical bodies, universities and research institutions, industry associations, donors and international organizations that made measurable impacts to farmer production, sustainability and trade. My programmes covered a variety of technical topics including animal health, plant health, food safety, value chains and trade and policy and regulatory capacity building, among others.
Before USDA, I worked for Congressman Jay Inslee, Congressman Jim McDermott and Washington State Representative Jamie Pedersen. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Seattle University, a Master’s Degree in Public Management from Johns Hopkins University and I am a certified Project Management Professional via the Project Management Institute.
