I have six years experience in IT administration, including troubleshooting and system development. My particular areas of interest include building information systems and system integration, web designing and multimedia work. I’m familiar with Access, ASP, HTML, Microsoft SQL and Filemaker Pro. For web design I use Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator.
My role involves network administration and I have experience in using Microsoft Windows Server technologies, network protocols and services. Throughout my time at CABI, I have also been involved with building database-driven websites, designing databases and managing servers.
I have also previously written and contributed short proposals for project development during my time at CABI.
One in three people in the developing world suffer from hidden hunger, or micronutrient deficiency, due to a lack of information on proper nutrition. This is a major cause of illness, poor growth, reduced productivity and impaired cognitive development. To help combat the problem, CABI and its partners in the DFID mNutrition initiative are developing content for a mobile phone-based messaging service aimed at increasing knowledge of nutrition and health within communities in 14 countries.
